Oscar L. Correll

He never married. He worked for the post office. He drove a snazzy car back and forth from Cleveland to Canton regularly. Everyone remembers him. Thelma says he was the reason she went to live with Frank & Martha Corell in Shaker Heights. "You're different from the rest," he told her.

In 1910 he lived with his parents in Laurence, Tuscarawas, Ohio. In 1920 he was a boarder in the same house in Canton, Ohio as his cousin Douglas Gotchall (b 1901), who also never married. The other boarders were Samuel Alpher (b 1896), John Smith (b 1895), and Gertrude Leinveilier (b 1897). Ruth N Grace (b 1881) is landlady.

I suspect he was gay. So does my dad. My grandma, Thelma, was surprised we'd suggest such a thing and didn't think he was.
