Lavina E Schoolfield

just noticed this & didn't know if I told you about it. My Elias Byerley had a brother Johnathon Byerley that was b.1799/1800 N.C. that married a 2nd time to Levina Schoolfield/Daner/Thomasson in Marshall Co., KY. So 2 Byerley brothers married 2 Schoolfield sisters. I don't see where either of them were twins tho. But I'm sure I don't have all the information that there is. Peggy Shaffer

Levina, Luvina, Lovina, Levinia, Viney, Lavinia, Lomica, Schoolfield, Schofeld, ...

Mary Kyle claims there were twins Luvina and Lucindy Schoolfield. I'm guessing these were Levina Elizabeth Schoolfield (Levina) and Lucindy Elizabeth Schoolfield (Elizabeth Ann), both born Aug 1830. She claims they married twins Eli and Levi Bierly, but she seems wrong about that, Eli exists but he had no brother Levi.

from Greg Riley:

Marshall County marriage records marriage of David Daner and Viney Schoolfield February 15 1850. Consent given for bride by Miss Rody Schoolfield. Witness: John Baker, Marshall Rudd. Graves County Marriage of V. Schofield to H. Thommasson. Groom listed as age 21 and Bride 24 and a widow. Marshall County marriages certificate number 1504 Jonathan Byerley to Mrs. Lavina Thomason. Marriage November 12, 1866.

Your information has a tie in to Todd County, Kentucky. Please find the following census entry for 1880 Todd County, Kentucky.

Barley, Levina E. 49

Robert N. 19

James N. 20

Elizabeth 13

When I found this I was pretty excited because descendants of James had a tie in to Todd County. I couldn't figure out how they ended up there, but here they are. IN 1860, they were living in OHio County,

Missouri.

I also had information that H.D. Thomasson died in the civil war. He enlisted at the Hardin Kentucky camp or enlistment place. I couldn't explain his total disappearance until I got that piece of information.

There are a couple of problems with this information (1880) one is the Barley spelling, the other is that

everyone is listed as a Barley instead of two Thomassons and a Barley. Finally, the goofy listing of Levina being born in SC instead of NC.

However, based upon the overwhelming evidence I still believe this is our family. Poor Levina got married at least 3 times I am sure. I don't know about the Williams information you had, but she could have married again.

What gives me alot of comfort though is that both you and another researcher had the tie in information

regarding Todd county. Also, that 1900 Ballard County census where Elizabeth Stinnett is living next door to J N Thomasson is also good stuff.
